The National Skills Academy comments on the Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy

National Skills Academy for Social Care Director Liz McSheehy said: "We welcome the launch of the Adult Workforce Strategy, which comes at a very important time in the evolution of social care and in the development of the National Skills Academy for Social Care. To ensure quality care, as an employer-led body we need a quality workforce, and the strategy provides a useful framework for future development. The Skills Academy looks forward to working with our partners in both the sector and government to support and develop care workers and their managers. Together, we will provide new leadership and direction for the adult social care workforce to deliver personalised services that put people first."
